Is OptiLIGHT right for me?

OptiLIGHT may be right for you if you regularly experience any of the following:

A persistent gritty or burning sensation in your eyes
Dry, itchy, red or irritated eyes
Blurry or fluctuating vision
Watery eyes (a common response to dryness)
Discomfort or difficulty wearing contact lenses
Sensitivity to light, wind or air conditioning
Little or no lasting relief from drops or gels

Our team will carry out a full assessment at your initial consultation to confirm whether OptiLIGHT is suitable for you before any treatment begins.

Gentle, fast, no downtime.

The treatment process

OptiLIGHT treatment is not invasive and is applied to the area below the eyes.

When it comes to your eyes, you want to know a treatment has been held to the highest standard. OptiLIGHT is the first and only light therapy FDA-approved for dry eye management, so you can feel confident you are in safe hands.

Initial dry eye assessment

Using our revolutionary advanced diagnostic technology called Antares+, we are able to produce a detailed dry eye report and build a clearer picture of your eye health. Antares+ has dedicated software designed to help in the detection and analysis of Dry Eye.

Your treatment course

A course of treatment typically includes 4 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. Each session usually takes only 10 to 15 minutes.

During the session

Your practitioner will apply a coupling gel on the treatment area and cover your eyes with shields. You may experience a warm sensation as light is applied to the skin. The treatment is gentle with minimum discomfort.

After your session

Immediately following treatment, you may experience some redness. This will usually disappear within a few hours. You can return to your daily activities and apply makeup straight away in most cases. You will be advised to stay out of direct sunlight for a few days and to apply sunscreen.

Results and maintenance

Patients usually report an improvement after their 2nd or 3rd treatment. Maintenance treatments are usually recommended every 6 to 12 months to ensure the best long-term results.
